New Year's Blessing

I want to bless you with a profound sense of God’s searching love for your life today. I pray that God will bless your spirit, the spiritual part of your life, that you will come alive with new life spiritually this year – that there’ll be new faith, new hope and new love. That God will bless your emotions, with new rich deep emotions of joy and wonder and delight and awe. That where there is sadness and sorrow and pain, there will be the fresh green shoots of a new joy, even in the midst of the pain. May God bless you with that.

May God bless your mind, your thinking, the way you think. May God bless you with new thoughts, rich thoughts, deep thoughts, new ways of thinking, creative ways, new insight, new clarity, new clearness, that where there’s darkness and confusion there will come new light.

May God bless your body. That where there’s sickness there may be health. That where there is struggle there may be recovery. That where there is weariness there may be a fresh energy. May God bless your body.

May God bless your relationships: your marriages, your friendships, that where there is distance there may be a new closeness. That where there is strangeness, there may be a new intimacy. That where there is withdrawnness, there may be a new coming together. May God bless your relationships.

May God bless you with a new awareness of people around you, with new attention.
